About

Luke Sewell is a student currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography at The New School/Parsons in New York. He is originally from Saint Louis, Missouri. For the past four years, Luke’s photography has centered on images of his peer group as they individually and collectively navigate the time, space, and emotions between adolescence and adulthood. 


Luke has received regional and national recognition for his work. This includes the “Show Us Your Generation” feature from the New York Times in 2019, recognition as a 2022 YoungArts Winner, and finalist in the Saint Louis Public Radio Teen Photojournalist Prize in the Spring of 2022. 

He also has a deep interest in fashion and has photographed fashion shows featuring local designers as a fundraiser for a non-profit organization. He created a zine titled CURATE in 2021 and sold it in a local men’s clothing boutique East + West.
